Poquoson community center to host fencing camp
Two fencing camps for different age groups will take place July 16 to July 20 at the Odd Road Community Center, 49 Odd Road, Poquoson.
The camp for children ages 8-10 will be from 12:30-2:30 p.m. and the camp for children ages 11-14 will be from 3-5 p.m. Camps are $87 each and the deadline to register is Wednesday, July 11.
The camp will cover basic fencing moves, body position, holding a foil and point scoring. An in-camp tournament will take place on the final day. The camp will provide all equipment. Participants should wear comfortable clothes and tennis shoes.
