Gas prices in and around Poquoson were lower compared to the average for Virginia and the country as a whole this week, according to data from the price-tracking website gasbuddy.com.

Visitors to the gasbuddy.com website reported rates for two gas stations in and around Poquoson, with the average price of $3.19 for a gallon of regular unleaded gas. As of Friday, July 6, Gasbuddy.com listed the Virginia average at $3.203 and the nationwide average at $3.408.

The least expensive gas price in Poquoson is reported to be $3.15 for a gallon of regular unleaded gas, which gasbuddy.com contributors logged as being available at 7-Eleven, 436 Wythe Creek Road and Little Florida Road.

A gasbuddy.com user reported the most expensive gas price in the area at $3.23, which was being sold at Metro Market, 426 Wythe Creek Road and Alphus Street.
